HTMA Recognizes Major Multi-Award Honorees of the 2026 Royal Inaugural Awards Season

The Honky Tonk Music Association proudly highlights several of the most influential honorees of its inaugural awards season, including artists and entertainment leaders whose work reflects the sound of yesterday across genres and generations.
THE VINTAGE EXPLOSION has rapidly emerged as one of the most compelling authenticity-driven performance groups recognized by Honky Tonk Music Association. Their recordings and live performances have resonated strongly with audiences seeking the spirit of earlier eras of music — restoring excitement, joy and timeless musical character for modern listeners.
Their ability to move naturally across R&B, rock and roll, soul, pop and classic-era country performance traditions reflects the broader mission of Honky Tonk Music Association: preserving and celebrating authentic performance across every genre of music.
At the center of that story is William “Will” Hitchell, lead vocalist of THE VINTAGE EXPLOSION and recipient of multiple HTMA honors. HTMA recognizes Hitchell not as an imitator of earlier artists, but as an original performer whose voice carries the timeless character of classic recorded music while remaining uniquely his own.
His performances have demonstrated an exceptional ability to reconnect audiences with the feeling of earlier eras of music performance — an accomplishment that reflects both artistic discipline and a rare natural gift.

The HTMA Winners & Nominees Spotlight was created so that recognition does not end when an award is announced.
Each individual Spotlight is designed to become a permanent place where fans can discover the artist’s awards and nominations, watch featured performances and curated HTMA playlists, see official statistics and schedules, learn the story behind the recognition and continue following the artist after the inaugural awards season has ended.
That means an HTMA Spotlight is not simply a winner list. It is a growing archive of the people, performances and moments that helped define the history of Honky Tonk Music Association.
All recognized together because great music does not belong to only one generation, one country or one genre.
