2026 Royal Inaugural Awards Celebration

THERE IS ONLY ONE FIRST.
There will be another awards season next year, and there will be new classes, new music and new names added to HTMA history for years to come. But there will never be another Inaugural Class. From October 21–27, 2026, Honky Tonk Music Association will welcome invited artists, honorees and members of the music industry to Murfreesboro, Tennessee, for seven nights marking the beginning of something that can happen only once.
We could tell you everything we are preparing, but that would take away half the fun. We have announced enough to let our guests know that Royal Awards, music, entertainment, special moments, dining and the first Black Tie & Evening Gown Royal Ball are waiting. The rest can wait until the doors open.
BEHIND THE ROYAL BLUE CARPET
Somewhere during those seven nights, someone will become the first person ever to walk the HTMA Royal Blue Carpet. There will be a first performance, a first Royal Award, a first gathering and a first Royal Ball. Years from now, others may follow those same traditions, but the people who share October 2026 will always have something no future class can duplicate: they were part of the beginning.

That is the part we want our invited guests to experience rather than simply read about beforehand. Murfreesboro is preparing to welcome the music industry, and behind the scenes the pieces are coming together. Some surprises deserve to remain surprises, so for now we are going to leave a little mystery behind the Royal Blue Carpet.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
The 2026 Royal Inaugural Awards Celebration is a private, invitation-only industry gathering, and the privacy and security of our artists, honorees, industry guests and their families come first. The event location, private schedules, attendance confirmations and other protected event information will not be publicly released. Approved participants will receive the information they need privately through HTMA’s verification process.
The October celebration will be recorded for later television and broadcast presentation, giving the world its opportunity to share in the celebration after our invited industry family has had the opportunity to experience it first.
WHEN ONE CHAPTER CLOSES, ANOTHER BEGINS
The seventh night will close the historic inaugural celebration, but it will also open the 2027 HTMA Awards Season and introduce the beginning of HTMA’s Second Class. In that moment, the people who were there at the beginning will watch the next chapter begin. That is how a tradition is born: one class takes its place in history while another begins its journey toward it.
Winners, nominees, artists and authorized representatives planning to participate should complete the appropriate verification process immediately as final arrangements move toward completion. Award recipients are not required to attend in order to retain their awards or their permanent place in the official HTMA registry.
Seven nights are coming to Murfreesboro. The Royal Blue Carpet is waiting, the music is getting ready, and an Inaugural Class is preparing to take a place in history that can never belong to another class. We will tell you more when the time is right. For now, some things are better left waiting behind the doors.
